Definitely try to get him seen today. I've had this kind of thing pop up
with a couple of mine a time or two, and the vet has always used a special
stain to check for scratches or abrasions. It's pretty cool - the stain glows in the dark. :) Sure enough, even though I couldn't see them, there were
scratches. The ferrets then needed ointment in the eye a couple of times
a day for a little while. Eye stuff is painful and can get bad pretty
fast if untreated, so definitely try to get him to a vet today. Usually
if you just say "eye problem," most vets will want you in there really
soon.
