Subject: update on Tom, post-op

Well, I hate to post here too many times about Tom,
but since it is good news, I wanted to give everyone
an update.

Tom had insulinoma surgery Thursday, and he didn't do
well for the first two days, but on Sat. night I noticed
he knocked some food out of the food bowl while
trying to get out of the cage, and this food he was
eating so I would throw some food on the floor of the
cage and he was eating that, but not from the bowl,
then I was trying to feed him the warmed CHicken Gravy,
and as usual gave up, he won't unclench his teeth,
and he shakes his head so all the food is on me.
I then tried to get him to take water from the bowl, again not budging,
When I went to put the bowl of water back into the
cage it spilled into the food bowl.
Well, Tom went right to the bowl, and started
licking up the water like I was holding out on him, then he
started to eat the kibble on his own, he has been eating good
since then, and seems to like the water in the food bowl, but
doesn't like the food soggy,so we are still working out this
issue, but poop is normal, and he has more energy.

Thanks for everyone's suggestions, and basically moral support.

Patty
