Subject: Re: (Complete post) 4+ weeks since splenectomy and still
problems eating

Good idea. One thing I was wondering about was a possible
ulcer since those and an enlarged spleen can share an origin
such as helicobacter. Was therefore wondering if an ulcer
routine followed by a helicobacter one when the ferret is more
comfortable might make sense.

Had also wondered if it might pay to try some babyfoods beyond
the chicken ones in case digestion is a bit impaired even
thislong afterward (a month after the spleen came out). We have
one who doesn't cope well with poultry, and have had ones that
would not eat poultrybabyfoods take mammal ones like beef or
lamb with a bit of patience, encouragement, and singing.
