Subject: To the doctors here
Hi you guys, hope all humans and fuzzies are doing ok (and the sick
ones getting better!).
I know I've been mostly a lurker but I've posted a couple of times
(introducing me and the fuzzies that own me). Last time I posted was a
couple of days ago (on the 31st) with a serious question about:
-->how dangerous exactly are dog-vaccines to ferrets (since that's all
that people use here where I live now--this 5 different dog vaccines
mixed)
-->if anyone knows IF and HOW would be possible to import Fervac-D and
Imrab-3 (to Germany). I worry for the health and lives of my 3 fuzzies
but also for the whole ferret community here.
I don't want to repeat my entire post, it's just that NOBODY wrote me
and I wondered if it is because nobody knows the answers or if it was
because someone removed part of the title of my post! (it was
originally addressed to the doctors here--since I've posted in other
places too but where it is mostly normal ferret-humans, no doctors
answering there, so maybe that's why nobody in those places knew the
answers).
Maybe someone here that knows this would be wonderful and kind enough
to drop me a line or post back here! (I think the vets and folks with
many years of ferret experience might know something)
It's time for little Salma to get her first shots and I am worried
about this dog shots, and really wanted to know what exactly can they
do to her (how dangerous, reactions and all).
I'm sure dog shots must be quite bad, otherwise they wouldn't have been
changed into just these two shots for distemper and rabies!
I really hope I can not only learn about this (so I can share with the
shelters and ferret community so maybe we can start giving the right
safer shots), but also that I can find a way to get to these vaccines!
