Subject: Bandit's excessive bleeding and bruising

I lost my little Bandit around 9 am this morning. I was never able
to get him to eat anything after surgery, and just getting anything
edible close to his nose or mouth caused gagging and dry heaves.

Fluids probably helped, but could not save my little boy. My vet
contemplated doing a transfusion from one of my bigger boys, but felt
that would not fix whatever was causing this problem. I knew last
night, Bandit was not going to make it.

When my vet took the compression bandage off to do the necropsy,
there was a lot of surface bruising, just caused by the bandage.

It appeared that his little body was just not able to produce
whatever it takes to clot his blood. Internally, he looked as though
he had bled to death. Numerous tissues were taken.

I plan to send the tissues, along with a donation, to Dr. Williams;
hopefully I will get some badly needed answers, and Bandit' tissues
can be donated to the tissue bank.

I hope this makes sense...I'm not thinking very clearly right now. I
am just stunned.
