Subject: yogurt and ferrets

I tried to give my ferret yogurt based on a vet's recommendation and
found out that he won't eat nonfat plain yogurt, but he will happily
eat whole milk plain yogurt (and I would have to agree with him that
the whole milk yogurt is much better :-) I have not tried feeding
him lowfat yet.

I've heard differing opinions on whether the cultures in yogurt
provide any benefit to ferrets. I would love to hear more on this
topic if anyone has further information.
