The Amoxi-Drop insert says "5mg/lb for dogs, twice daily" and "5-
10mg/lb once daily for cats" and is stated to be a recommended
antibiotic for respiratory infections in cats & dogs.

More practically, our vet generally rounds off the dosage for ferrets
as:
0.2ml (of suspension mixed as directed to 50mg per ml of suspension)
for small (1 - 2 lbs) ferrets and 0.25ml for heavier ferrets, given
twice daily.

The vets here can probably be a little more specific than that,
though.
