Subject: Re: help.. what are warning signs of blockage?

Inability to eat, inability to drink, vomiting, not passing stools,
passing very thin stools, evidence of stomach pain (such as
tooth grinding or pawing at the mouth), runs are all things that
can occur.

Tonight pull out your ferret/cat laxative or some petroleum jelly
and give that to try to help it pass.

If there is a blockage it is important to get rapid medical care
since they can become life-threatening very fast, so if you do not
see enough eraser out tomorrow, or ferret is showing symptoms
like those above, or is lethargic, or otherwise not well get an
emergency appointment tomorrow.

The easiest ways to sample the stool with something like an
eraser is often either in water, or by squishing it around in a
plastic bag.

Best of luck to you. Ashoing just decided to eat a chunk of a
sweater of Steve's today so we are also on poop-watch here.
