That's reassuring, at least. Thanks for the reply.
He's bounced back from surgery quite well, is eating good, and
activity level is very good for so soon after surgery. I'd just never
seen a pancreas that color. Lucky's "mom" was concerned he'd eaten an
insecticide carrying bug or perhaps something that mechanically
damaged the gut that might have caused this as he went downhill from
a "hyper" ferret to refusing food in only 5 days, losing 6 ounces of
weight (from his usual 2 pounds).
The vet did prescribe Baytril injections for pancreatitis.
The anethetic used was Sevo-Flo they do go under quicker and with
less of a fight than with the former type of Iso.
