I know one of the medicines that people use for their ferrets with
Ulcers is
Pepcid AC or Tagamet. When I had one of the shelter ferrets here
that
wouldn't eat for me, I did everything I could think of then Liane
took him to
the vet and she give him a shot of Tagamet (which is the same
stuff they use
for humans with ulcers). He came right out of it and now is
eating just
great and not having to be syringe fed his chicken gravy anymore.
You might
try it.

Thank you Charleen for the idea. Nope...haven't tried that. The
upset stomach was just in the last couple of days. He doesn't have
an ulcer at this point or least it doesn't appear to be an ulcer;
his poops are fine colorwise. A little small but eating soup
exclusively I think probably changes the appearance of poops.
Yuck...did I ever think in my lifetime I'd be not only examining
poops every day but talking very freely about them with others? LOL

I think the digoxin was it. Last night he ate an entire bowl of soup
at 8:00 PM. Now there were no meds in it other than the normal
supplements I add when I make soup. I gave him carafete at
10:30...god love him...he had a horrible time with it. Half hour
later I gave him soup with the lasix in it; he only ate half. This
morning he only ate half a bowl but at least he's eating. I'm so
relieved. Still is the issue of making sure he gets all the meds in
him if he's only going to be eating half a bowl of soup. BTW...he
leaves the same amount in the bottom of bowl whether it's a whole or
half bowl.

I cannot tell you how much the support of you all is helping me cope
with this.
