Subject: false shedding?
I have two one-year old ferrets. My male sable has been shedding
heavily for the last couple weeks. Most of the hair is from his
front shoulders, down to his tail. He is growing new hair all over,
and their is no balding at the base of the tail, so I don't think he
has adrenal problems. He has also lost a bit of weight. He has has
hairballs, so I think the weight loss is due to that. Anyway, He
seems very healthy, and very energetic, so I am looking for any info
on why he might be losing this much hair at the wrong time of year.
