Subject: Ferrets Temperature

This may have been covered at some point, but I don't remember
it. I remember that a ferrets normal temp is around 102? Is this
rectally or is it in fact 103 rectally (with 102 being the real
temp)?
How does one take a ferrets temperature. Do I hold it under
their teeny arm pit for four minuters (the thermometer)? Do I hold
the rectal therm in the corner of their litter pan and tell them,
"back up into this baby!" LOL. All my sillyness aside... do you use
a digital type of therm rectally (the kind that is super fast) and
do you only stick in the silver tip?

Wolfy
ps Does it take a lot or little to elevate a ferrets temp?
