Dr. Heller?

Actually, he did have anesthesia for his second phlebotomy as well,
but as Lynne stated, not for his 2 week CBC checks. At each of his
checks I am drawing about one cc of blood, and that, combined with
his pred, seems to be keeping his levels stable at a PCV of about
70%. As Lynne stated, he is doing wonderfully, his blood is not
thick - when he was first diagnosed it was thick enough that we were
worrying about it sludging in his extremities and causing clots to
form. His color is a bit more red than normal, but that's okay.

Hope that your ferret does okay - it's a difficult, frustrating and
potentially hard to control disease. Kai is doing very, very well,
and I hope that yours does as well.

Dr. Ruth
