How dreadful! The one sound I remember was that if the food was
trapped in the esophagus and then finally rushed into the stomach,
there was an unmistakable noise like a toilet bowl emptying.

When Magellen was diagnosed after a barium x-ray series in 1994,
there was no information on the internet and no FHL. We were just
guessing as to what might work. Lots of medicines have come out since
1996 (like Nexium) and I would love to know if these might help.

For clarification, I was not trying to endorse tuna fish as an
acceptable food for ferrets. I was trying to say that I found a food
that Magellan thought was appealing so I used it to get him started
eating again. Prior to this, he was my one kid who loved cooked beef!
I don't remember him tackling me for my tuna fish sandwiche but
apparently the tuna appealed to him.
