Ah, yes, milk thistle. There's too much on that in this new
ref. to put it all in. Okay, a number of references for that
list possible liver-protective effects in conjunction with an
assortment of meds that can harm the liver. and for Cisplatin
it says that two refs mention that it might provide a
protective effect for kidneys. It can possibly cause problems
when insulin is given with mention of possible hypogylcemia or
loss of glucose control mentioned as possible in our of her
resources and that source also calls for caution if
hypoglycemia is present or meds for same are being given.

Hope that helps.

I JUST got my new reference on Herb and Drug interactions.
I was looking up a few herbs for folks for
counterindications and conflicts but I can only recall anise
offhand. The new reference, _Herb-Drug Interaction
Handbook_ by Sharon M. Herr, RD who used 211 resources to
compile the handbook lists for anise one source mentioning
no interactions, two mentioning that large doses can
interfere with anticoagulants, that it is a phytoestrogen
which may interfere with some hormonal meds, and that large
doses may interfere with MAOIs (the meaning of which escapes
me right now), and a third source mentions a hypertension
risk and sympathomimetics.

Life's slightly more than incredibly tense and busy right
now, so patience, please, and, please, expect to have to
remind me of things.
