I agree with Caity. We've had ones over 5 go 3 and 1/2 years
after adrenal surgery.

Expect that Bob would probably appreciate your knowing, too,
that those were the results of an informal survey done years ago
and when he released them he repeatedly stressed the
importance of realizing that such a survey is good for curiousity
and to get an idea where to look more but the averages are not
things which should be taken as hard and fast rules due to all of
thesampling and report-accuracy problems inherent in such
surveys. He was very careful to repeat that over and over as folks
have to be with such surveys. There is sometimes the problem,
though, that others may carry posts over with their own variations
added -- have seen it done with things I've written -- and then the
author has no way to emphasize such essential aspects any
longer.
