Subject: Ferrets and Their Photocycles

Hi Everyone,

I have been reading alot about the health problems that can arise from
prolonged exposure to artificial light. I have also heard about how some
animals can be "Tricked" into thinking that it is night with non-white
light. Have there been any studies, or personal experience in this area
dealing with UV light (Black Light) or IR light (Infrared Light)?

I am not asking this to keep them in the dark, but so they only get natural
light and I can still see them after dark. Covering their cage is not an
option since they have run of a ferret-safe room.

Any info in this area would be helpful, thank you in advance.

BTW, Thank you to the people who gave me help with my questions about
Adrenal Disease, the computer died and I couldn't reply to everyone to
thank them. Jamocha just had a strange shedding and the hair is all grown
back.
