My ferrets seem to go through about a two week period
where they sleep a lot when the season changes (spring
and fall). I haven't noticed it as much this year but
we haven't had much in the way of a seasonal weather
change this year. I had one altered male who would
sleep a lot and eat a lot less each spring for about
two weeks until he had dropped a lot of his winter
weight gain. Then he would bounce back to normal. I
never thought he looked gaunt though.
