Subject: campbell's low sodium chicken broth?

got a weezil i'm trying to get some weight back on... and since i'm
about to have to make up a batch of soup, i figured i'd see if i
could spread it out a bit (and make it more hearty) with some chicken
broth ( i use chicken baby food, and their regular kibble made into
mush with water, and add vanilla ensure if they won't eat it plain. )

anyway, it's campbell's low sodium broth (i think, i dont' eat the
stuff) and it seemed to be the one on the shelf with the least
extraneous ingredients.

it does, however,, have dextrose and yeast in it, and i'm not sure
about either. the dextrose must be in very small quuantities,
though--the whole can is 298 grams, and it only has one gram of
sugars, total, listed on the nutrition info.

here's what the label says:

ingredients:chicken broth, chicken fat, dextrose, yeast extract

nutrition info:
total fat 2g
Sat. fat 1g
cholest. 5mg
sodium 140mg
total carb. 2g
fiber 0g
sugars 1g
protein 4g
Calcium 2%
vit. a & C 0%
iron 0%
calories 40
fat cal. 20

so, should i use this in his soup, or not? can i just feed this stuff
to my fuzzbutts as a treat straight? are there any red flags in that
list?

thanks,

-kat-
