Oh my goodness, she is fat! She would have made Beasley look
absolutely slim and I though he was terribly overweight. I know that
thyroid problems are extremely rare in ferrets, but we did have on in
the shelter that looked like this and was hypothyroid. Angela could
tell you all about Sammy. If my memory serves me well, I believe
another one in the shelter also developed a thyroid problem.

Anyway, if you're willing to pop for a blood test and check T4
levels, maybe this will either answer the question or not. I don't
see how this would be related to being in season and then brought out
of it, but perhaps that's just a coincidence. Again, this is
extremely rare but one possibility.
