Now weight is 3.75 lb and he is becoming very pear shaped and
is starting to show exercise intolerance. Breathing heavier
and taking more breaks).Eating/drinking fine-not anymore/less
than normal.Urinating/Pooping are normal.I took him to my vet
and the first thing she says is wow, what's up with the
belly.(Poss. ascites?)She listened to his heart and noticed a
sinus arrhythmia but no murmur. Took X-rays and they show
right atrial enlargement and a very round heart. Abdomen looks
like it's full of fluid.Have an Ultra Sound done and it shows,
no ascites,(very surprising)heartworms or tumors.Valves are
working, some right atrial enlargement,no ventricle enlargement
or thickening.Liver seems normal but the portal vein/artery
seems dilated and may be causing congestion? Kidneys looked
fine..The vets are puzzled. We will be doing more blood tests
but does anyone have any other suggestions?Or is there
something being over looked? Heartworm test done and it came
up negative.(Canine Antigen Test)Thank you for time!!!! Please
write if you have anything to share. Katy and Buehler
