I have been using the 8 & 1 Ultimate ferret food in my mixture for over 4
years and have never once had a problem with it. I do feel though that
getting my food from the Ferret Store is the best place to buy it. I think
they have a large amount of people buying from them, and therefore, their
food stock is very fresh! I have a feeling that there really is a very large
difference from the Ultra Blend and the Ultimate 8 and 1. Maybe the Ultra
blend sits in the store for a long period and could become racid. I also
know that in any petstore where there open bins of bird seed that it draws
moths ect. Saw this when I worked in a couple of Pet Stores in the past.
