Our Ryo-Ohki had an abcessed anal gland when she was about a year old. Our vet
did a circular incision to drain it. He, too, said it could recur, and in
fact, expected it would. Well... it's been two and a half years. Her adrenal
disease has recurred, but the problem with her anal (scent) gland did not.
