Subject: mollie's liver...
my ferret mollie has been getting pretty bony lately. she
also started biting (and screaming) for no reason. she's 8
months old. we took her to the vet, he confirmed that she has
lost a few ounces, and did some bloodwork. he called this
morning to telll me that her white blood cell count was almost
double and that something else (forgive me, i dont have the
paperwork here with me) was high as well- something that led
him to believe her liver was infected. he gave her an
injection and tomorrow we start taking baytril twice a day for
10 days and then get another blood test. the doctor was very
busy today, and i came at the last minute so didnt get a
chance to figure out what i wanted to ask him, so could anyone
shed some light and tell me (best and worst case scenarios)
what i could be looking at here? i'm sorry the info is so
vague... thanks.
