Subject: Re: options for adrenal problem.

We just got Lupron for two who are not surgical candidates. DO
give your vet Mike Janke's recently printed source for less
expensive Lupron. It's right in the recent back-messages on
site http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Ferret-Health-list . We didn't
know of that one till after we'd spent $800 on the two, and will
have them use it for future purchase because it's much cheaper.

Boy, are those two girls HAPPY now!

Seven is of unknown age. She had her left adrenal out, but her
right one had invaded the Vena Cava instead of just being
around it. If there was enough collateral circulation she could
have had the Vena Cava ligated, but there was not, so she
bounces around happily with her medication. Like Warp she
hates the feel of this particular injection but she is so much more
comfy now -- dancing, pronging, sleeping with others, just plain
happy. Her vulva is going down and her nipples already are
down but it too early to know how much fur she will regrow.

Warp is elderly, with a chronic problem, and almost died in her
last two emergency surgeries (related to her chronic friable
small intestine separating again). She's a very poor surgical
cnadidate. Like Seven she is happy as can be since her Lupron
injection.

Each got the four-month depot.
