Subject: vomiting at night

Hi,

I was wondering if a ferret is vomiting mainly at night, if that is
suggestive of any particular ailment? She is a 7.5yr old,
insulinomic ferret. At first I thought maybe she was getting
nauseated at night due to low blood sugar, so we changed her feeding
schedule, but that doesn't seem to have helped. She is on pred twice
a day also. During the day she has free range in a ferret room, at
night she is caged, and I have been finding vomit on her bedding in
the morning. Last night my husband caught her about midnight having
projectile vomiting. During the day she seems fine.

She has a vet appt tomorrow am, but was wondering if this rang any
bells with anyone out there? I realize she could have a partial
blockage or something. I have even wondered if it is CO posioning,
since her room is in the basement by the furnace, but none of the
other ferrets are having this problem. Any insights would be
appreciated.

Thanks,
Julie
