Subject: [Ferret-Health-list] Frank blood in feces

You should not take your sick baby to work, unless:
You are a veterinarian
Or, he actually needs to be monitored that closely.
Exposure to all that excitement can wear him down, leading to more chances for something else to make it's home in him. He's got the blood. He does not need the exposure to additional possible problems when his system is not working correctly.
Please, let him rest and stay in a stable; for him; environment.
Harold

Simon, not quite two years old, neutered male, ECE last year and seemed to have recovered well. Friday night vomiting quite a bit, but with just some clear stuff coming up, seemed to have gotten over that. Tonight I find an icky bit of poop--dark dark green on the outside with what appeared to be a gelatinous frank blood blob in the center of it. Differentials? Would like some ideas for when I take him to work with me tomorrow night. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Sandy
