Subject: Somethings wrong

Yesterday, I noticed one of my ferts eyes were sort of squited. Just
not all the way open. Usually he is wide eyed. All though, this may
not mean anything...today I noted his eyes were the same and he
hadn't
touched his food. He's been going potty, but not as much as usual.
The poos look normal. He's semi active, but lethargic...kind of like,
whatever is wrong, is just starting. I felt his tummy and it feels a
little bloated. I thought I would give him a bit of nutri-cal to see
if we could get some appetite and eat something until I could get him
to the vet tomorrow. He licked it willingly, but then instantly
turned away and started heaving. He didn't vomit anything up, but it
sure seemed like he wanted to.

I let him down on the floor and he has a slight curve to his walk..he
explored the intire room, before curling up in the kitty condo. Not
normal...no play, no cooing. I have no idea what is wrong..it is
IMPOSSIBLE for him to have a blockage, as I supervise EVERY playtime
and their room is 100% ferret proof. The only other thing I can think
of that would be worth mentioning is a couple months ago, he had
weird pee. I'm not sure how to describe it, but it wouldn't break
down the pelleted litter like it normally does [and how it does with
each and every other ferret I have]-I guess you would say the pellets
wouldn't absorb it. It only happened a few times, so I didn't think
much of it.

My question is, could it be something with his kidneys and if so,
would he have these other signs and what would should I tell my vet
to do [tests wise, etc]. Could it be something else? If so, what?
Could it be an enlarged spleen?

Please help, as my vets are not the greatest when it comes to
ferrets. They can usually handle it if I lead them in the right
direction, but as of now....I am clueless to what is wrong. :(
