The primary sign of megaesophagus is generally vomiting, or more
appropriately, regurgitation. Grinding teeth is much more commonly
seen with gastric ulcers or other forms of abdominal pain. I am
currently unaware of any connection between megaesophagus and chronic
inflammation of the bowel.
