Subject: Still need ideas for aiding movement of food from stomach
to intestine
Hi
I posted yesterday about my ferret having exploratory surgery for
possible hairball. None was found. However, quite a bit of fluid was
found in the stomach, obviously having trouble moving to the
intestine. Vet thinks could be swelling or tumor at junction between
stomach and intestine. Won't have biopsy back for awhile, in meantime
ferret is at home with me. I am giving sub-q fluids, but am worried
this won't be enough to sustain her through the weekend. (She's
insulinomic also). Anyone know of a drug or digestive aid that would
help in the process of moving the food along.
Thanks in advance for any ideas anyone can give me.
