Subject: Re: [Ferret-Health-list] Final update on Yoyo

Hello Barb--
Is it at all possible in Yoyo's fight to refuse food he aspirated ( got
some into windpipe)?

If so, this would explain the raspiness and the sudden onset of
illness. Penumonia for aspirated foods into the lungs quickly will develop
into a nasty bacterial pneumonia and cause death in 72 hours or
less. Sadly we experienced this ourselves with a liver patient several
years ago- It was the pathology form Dr Williams which detected the cause
of death.

Sorry to hear of your recent loss.
