I was given injectable Baytril for one of my kids but my
understanding is that it can only be given SQ for a couple
injections. I believe that it causes necrosis if given for longer.
There is more than one flavor of Baytril tablet. The brown tablet
tastes like liver and most ferrets hate it but it crushes readily.
The purple tablet isn't as bad. However it has a coating on it
requiring you to crush the tablet and pick out the coating before
sucking it up in a syringe with something that tastes good.
