Subject: help! we left the baytril out overnight...

I don't think a few hours or a day out of the
refrig will hurt, unless in a very warm area. I have
forgotten a few times, and never had a problem,
just shake it up good and check and see if it smells,
looks the same.
By me Walgreens,CVS and a few other have pharmacist
on 24 hours a day, may want to try them- but don't know
if they will have info about vet drugs (?) since it Baytril
is not used in humans. I know if it were amoxicillin suspension
it would be fine, I once looked in many places to see
why it had to be refrigerated, and all I coud find that it
was suggested to refrigerate (preferable), and that if you did forget
and leave it out, it wouldn't do any harm- Maybe has something
to do with it coming out of the suspension, if the med isn't
equally distributed throughout the suspension, you don't know
how much you are really giving with each ml. But, if only
3 days, when you finish it the ferret got it all, even if unevenly
distributed. Or I think refrigeration will extend
the drugs bioavailability, but like I said if it only has to last
3 days more, it should be fine.
