Subject: Eye infections
Our 5 month male ferret has been suffering recurrent eye
infections since we got it last september. In the afected eye
(sometimes both), closed and watery, a whithish spot appears and gets
enlarged. The Vet prescribed Gentamicin eye drops that seemed to be
effective as after three or four days of treatment eye appears almost
normal.
Treatment to heal possible associated injury in the cornea has also
been followed. Since last two weeks we are applying Cornea suis
injeel shots.
Three days ago infection reapeared in right eye and inmediate
treatment with gentamicin eye drops again came effective.
Has anyone experienced a similar problem and got effective treatment?
