Subject: Blockage Questions

Can a partial blockage that has been around for over a month cause increased
Creatine levels?

His symptoms seem to fit a partial blockage perfectly, but our vet (with
almost no ferret experience) doesn't think it's likely.
We had x-rays & every possible blood test done, and nothing conclusive came
up.

He vomits occasionally, hasn't eaten on his own for over a month. He'll eat
chicken baby food off my finger, but grinds his teeth a lot and paws at his
mouth afterwards. He's had diahrrea since this started.
About once a week, he has a really bad day and doesn't want to eat at all.
He had lost a lot of weight, but is putting some of it back on. He still
feels bony. (1.6lbs) He tends to eat better in the morning (when he has an
empty stomach).

We're taking him in for a barium x-ray now, but are wondering if we
shouldn't go ahead and get them to do an exploratory surgery?

The next closest (several hours away) ferret vet is out until wednesday.

He has been vomiting more (2x yesterday) and less interested in eating the
last 2 days.

Any ideas, suggestions, thoughts, help???
Thanks in advance.
