Subject: Re: Lupron, 4mo depot, 1mg or 2mg?

I have used as little as 150 mcg of the one-month Lupron. This would
be the equivalent of 0.6 mg of the four-month Lupron. In one case,
we had to use 300 mcg (0.3 mg) of the one-month to see a reversal of
symptoms, but once that was achieved, we were able to go back down to
the 150 mcg dose and maintain the ferret.

In my totally unmedical opinion, I don't see any harm in going to the
1 mg dosage if it's enough to keep the symptoms at bay.

after surgery. As of now she has been living a very happy life with
the help of Lupron. She has received two, 4 month depot (2mg) shots
over the past year. They seem to keep her symptoms at bay for about
6- 7 months (The only hair that grew back though was a little fuzz on
her back and her mohawk, she never lost the fur from her face and
down her front legs). I went by the suggestion of Dr. Weiss
website.

the 2mg, 4mo. depot for about $200, I hear the same depot at 1 mg
runs about $100. Id like to stay with the 4 month shot and was
wondering if anyone has any information for me AND, more importantly,
I'm curious if there are any side effects of switching from what I
have been giving her, to a different dosage. The last thing I want
to do is throw her system out of whack, this little girl has been
through enough. Although I will probably stay with the 4 month shot,
I am interested in any info on switching to the 1 month shot too.
