I am very sorry about Miyake, and I feel your loss in reading your words.
I cannot answer the ADV question. Assuming you can make your home safe, may I please ask just one thing? Please do not get your new ferrets from a pet store. The shelters are absolutely overloaded in this part of the country, and I know the same is true most everywhere else. There have been plenty of adoptable ferrets available, including many who are still kits. Also, do consider older ferrets. Shelters have a much harder time adopting them out even if they are healthy, happy, and great ferrets to have around.
