Subject: Re: [Ferret-Health-list] mysterious lump
Lisa, you're not going to believe this.
Same thing happend to my 18 month neutered male.
Four days after he had his vaccine he developed a lump
on his right side. He got his shot on the right hind
leg. Do you know what side your ferret got his shot?
My got the new vaccine that starts with an M. I think
it's like Merick or something.
My guys lump got very large in about 24 hours after I
noticed it. It was so large that he couldn't walk for
about 2 days and it was during Thanksgiving so I
couldn't take him to the vet. Day after Thanksgiving
I saw the vet and he took x-rays. He found no broken
bones and he ruled out it being a tumor or an enlarged
organ.
It took about 72 hours and the lump was gone. He is
fine now and just as active as before.
