We're among those who have had good results, but we take one extra
step before starting Diazoxide. The vet runs a blood insulin level
(in addition to a blood glucose level). They do that based on the
reasoning that if the insulin level isn't up then Progylcem may not
be the best approach.

That said, there is always room for individual variation. We had one
whose thirst was diminished by Lasix rather than increased, for
example.
