Subject: [Ferret-Health-list] food?

Dear Steve;

This looks like a mix of several different kinds of food. One of the foods(the little rounds reds ones with the whole)look like friskies beef flavored. The yellow, triangle shaped ones look like chicken flavored cat chow. I have no idea what the rest of that stuff is. Good luck finding out what the is. Hope you can find out very soon. Or you can wait until the little one is so hungry that he will eat pretty much what you offer. I know it sounds cold, but I did it with a rescue. Be sure though that you offer him plenty of water, and try not to wait to long before you have top start force feeding him.

I wish you all the luck in the world and will keep you and Zazu in my prays.

Please let me know how things work out with Zazu and if you can find out what exactly that food is.

Hi All,

Please forgive the cross posting but yesterday we received three surrenders and Zazu was one of them. He was brought in because the owners four other ferrets picked on him. He arrived in a cage with the bottom filled with cedar chips and a clumping filled potty. I did my best to explain the dangers of this but he insisted that their vet approved the litter and the cedar. In any event he is a sweet little guy that is not eating and the former owners left very abruptly so I am hoping someone will recognize this food and tell me what it is? Thanks for your help.

Steve
