Subject: Do ferrets get sarcoptic or demodex skin mites?

Do ferrets get sarcoptic mites of the skin (i.e. mange)? What about
demodex mites? I certainly know ferrets get ear mites - mine have had
plenty - and I have seen their ear mites under a microscope, which look
exactly like the picture of a sarcoptic mite I just saw on the web. My
nephew ferret just had the adrenal panel done, but we are also curious
about the possibility of skin mites. I have been around the block with
adrenal disease, so know this is a very likely scenario, but am interested
to learn in general about the possibility of skin mites in ferrets. Searched
the archives of the FHL and looked on Michael Janke's excellent
website already.
Thanks!

P.S. Off topic- I am feeding the most beautiful opposum on my porch
every night! He is a huge one, about 15 pounds, which is good as it
means that he is probably a he and won't have 10-20 babies. I have
learned he is a marsupial, same family as kangaroos. A lovely boy -
Pokey. Cut and cooked up about five pounds of fat for him last night.
