I don't think it's an age thing. It's just that we subject our
ferrets to such unnatural light cycles that it's often hard to
predict when or if they will have a seasonal coat/weight change.
I've had some that I can't recall ever having a noticeable change,
while Spaz is pretty predictable and usually goes through a change
twice a year. He recently put on his winter coat.
