Subject: Deaf Ferret

I too have a deaf ferret, luckily he wasn't nippy as a
baby.

When he gets you, scruff him and drag him along the
floor while dooking at him. If your face is close to
him at the time he should feel the vibrations of your
voice. This is just a dominance thing (momma ferret).
Just lets him know that he upset mommy. It won't hurt
him, I've seen them drag each other around the room.

Hope this helps.

My new addition "Echo" is a panda possibly blaze mix
he has the panda
eyes
and a thin white line on his head like a skunk. He is
cute can be
timid and
affectionate but as the other two run to me when the
treat tin shakes
Echo
does not and I have to be careful not to walk up
behind him since he
gets
stralted puffs his tail and runs.

He was too cute to return to the store and I have
trained him somewhat
but
he has a nasty biting problem and seems not to care if
I use bitter
apple
and licks up the lemon juice. My other ferret nipped
when he was young
but
me screaming made him stop echo is obviously immune, I
can tolerate the
ankle and toe attacks but he goes for the elbow and
fingers and arm,
any
suggestions. I know this is odd but on a ferret chat
room someone told
me to
nip him back so I tried I just gently put my teeth on
his back he spun
around and stood up on his hind legs and licked me so
I do not think
that
worked. I play with them on the floor so I am there
level I pet each
one
and give them all love and kisses so why is he still
biting? Any
advic

Some days you're the dog,
Some days you're the hydrant.

You shot him in the back!
Well, his back was to me.

Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. -Charles Schultz
