Subject: Just went to the vet

Hello all,

Just came back from the vet. My two girls were sneezing. All there
other activities were normal except for the sneezing. My vet told me they
have an upper respitory infection and gave me clavamox. I also brought in
my 2 kits that are maybe 7 weeks old. When I brought them home there teeth
were just starting to show so I feed them my regular mix of ferret foods
softened w/ some gerber chicken food. Since then they have almost doubled in
size. My vet said that they need more foods for babies and he asked me if
there are ferret foods for kits. As far as I know I haven't seen any so
should I give them kitten food or just stick to what I am doing? They also
got there first series of distemper. I told him about how I have read that
they can have reactions to the shot and he said that it is just a myth and
that he has never known of this to happen. My 2 kits are Cocoa (dark sable)
and Ruby (albino). Had a hard time giving Ruby her shot, poor girl. She
cried and put up a fight. He was very nice and gentle with my girls but not
sure how much he knows about ferrets. After all that basically I was
wondering what foods I should feed my kits. Thank you:)

Lisa and my four girls
