Hi Christina,

I use Mazuri food in my mix of high-protein ferret foods. My guys
seem to like it and they all have nice soft coats. The protein and
fat levels are decent (38% and 20.5% respectively). You could get
into a debate about the use of poultry by-product meal and/or corn,
but I'll leave that to someone else since I'm in no way an expert.
FWIW, I would recommend it mixed in with a few other good quality
ferret foods.

You know, I read that same post too and went out to buy some canned
all natural pumpkin for my boy with IBD! He no longer needs meds but
I can't seem to firm up his stools enough. I was so excited to try
this (and had been given the suggestion from a shelter too).
Unfortunately, he hates the pumpkin! LOL! I only added a small
amount (about 1/4 a tsp?) to his soup because I didn't think you'd
want too many of those sugars and carbs in their food. I'm wondering
if the fiber in the pumpkin is actually what helps. Does anyone know
for sure why the pumpkin works? And about how much are you supposed
to use?

I'm not sure if I helped you out or not Christina but I'd noticed
that you hadn't had any responses to those questions yet. I'm
curious about the pumpkin too.

Sincerely,
Erin
