Your male ferret at 6 months of age should have noticeable testicles, even if
he is not in rut. Marshall farms neuters/spays all of their ferrets prior to
shipping, so you shouldn't have any worries. My 4 month old whole male has
teeny little testicles, but they are now big enough to be seen. So if you
don't see them, he is neutered.
