She was one of the vets on the panel at the AFA's ferret symposium
that Erin and I attended. I recall them all being in agreement that
titers were not a perfect way of monitoring ferret vaccination
levels - not yet anyway.

It's definitely something that would be nice in the future. I think
that in life of death situations with ferrets who violently react to
vaccinations, the guessing game of the titer tests are worth it, but
outside of that, probably not.

Alicia, you bring up a good point though - if there are no accurate
titers, how DO vaccine companies determine what level of vaccination
works for ferrets?

I'm curious as well.
