Well if you really feel you need to use a heating pad, the
Snuggle Safe Disc is the way to go. You put them in the
microwave for 5 minutes and they stay warm for 8-10 hours.
They very easy to wash & no cords or anything to worry about.
We actually use them for the hedgehogs here...wrap them in a
blanket or towel and put under their pigloo. They are $19.99
at Petsmart (in the pet carriers section) or at
www.drsfostersmith.com. However, I agree that they would
probably be happiest with just a few extra blankets.

I wouldn't use a heating pad as there is always a danger of
it getting wet
and shorting out. However you can get flat pads that are
used in reptile
tanks. This would go under the bottom of the cage and would
heat the floor.
Or possibly use "hot rocks" and wrap them well in soft
materials. I don't
know how cold they can get before they might get sick. Hope
this helps.
