Hi Mary,

Bandit use to do some of that too...when eating. I always thought
he was licking his chops, cause then he would rub his face on my
socks or newspapers. Since he's been on pred I think I can say he
doesn't seem to do this as much now. I really don't ever remember
the the loud grinding noise you describe???

Sorry couldn't be more helpful, I imagine he's on pred?
