Subject: Re: Teeth Grinding???

I have been told that teeth grinding is a nonspecific sign of pain.

In my experience it has happened in the following circumstances:

It can occur with gastric ulcers. (Should also have black stools)

My vet says it can occur due to nausea in a hypoglycemic ferret with
insulinoma.

Finally, in my ferret in whom the above were ruled out, my vet and I
decided her teeth grinding was due to pain from widespread tumors in
her abdomen (found during surgery).
